August and September, 2025:
Dan, Ken and Terri did excellent work on my antique home in Sandwich MA. They arrived on time, went cheerfully about their business and completed chimney renewal and pointing, exterior and interior foundation renewal and waterproofing in a timely manner for a reasonable price.
I recommend without hesitation Old Tyme Chimney Sweep services to anyone who appreciates professionalism, skill, courtesy and the employ of people who are deservedly confident in the outcome of their work.

Ken and Terry did a great job cleaning the chimney flue yesterday. They were prompt, friendly, professional, and explained exactly what they had done. When they finished to job, the place was cleaner than when they arrived. Price of the service was competitive, and I will be using their services when I need them in the future. Five stars out of five.

Called a few chimney repair companies for quotes to rebuild top of chimney.
1) left message, never heard from them.
2) left message, spoke to scheduler, said very backed up due to lack of workers. Told me to call back in a couple weeks.
3) called Old Tyme Chimney and Dan answered his phone and told me he could look at it the day after tomorrow. Met with Dan and he quoted X number of dollars to tear down 3 tiers of brick, rebuild, repointed to roof line, and waterproof chimney.
Set repair date, crew of 2 showed up early and got started. Dan stopped by to check in on job.
TURNED OUT 5 TIERS OF BRICK NEEDED TO BE REMOVED AND REPLACED, Dan instructed brick layers to continue and replace extra tiers and held original quote!
The job came out great, cleaned up work area>

There is nothing better than supporting a local and family owned business. I was so impressed with Old Tyme Chimney the entire team and Dan. They did an incredible job pointing and sealing my chimney. They scraped off all of the mold it looks NEW. They fixed the crown on the top of the chimney and the lead that was loose. They also put molding along the side to protect any future damage. My wood stove was cleaned and my chimney. It’s so nice to have a chimney service you can trust. Thank you Dan, and the rest of the family for assuring my chimney and wood stove is SAFE. That is priceless. The costs were very reasonable. On top of that they fixed my gutter guards and took out excess leaves on my gutter after blowing off the roof. Thank you Team.

1. Dan returned my email request by phone within two hours, set up a date for an estimate , and his crew showed up early!
2. Gave me a very reasonable quote, answered all of my questions,…. very professional!!!
3. Completely resealed the crown with a crown coat. Repaired all of the mortar between my bricks that needed to be repaired , fixed my flashing and waterproofed the chimney.

Storm damage to our chimney this past winter put us on the hunt for a competent, capable, responsive mason. Four companies never returned our phone calls and emails. Another got back to us a month later. Dan of Old Tyme Chimney Sweep called me the next day and had an understandable quote in my hands soon after. Then he and his crew showed up when the said they would and were done when they said they’d be done. And the chimney looks great! This winter I’m sure we’ll enjoy the lock-top damper they installed, too! For any chimney work, these are the pro’s to call.

Dan and 1 assistant were efficient and professional. Dealing with years of neglect on my 45 year old home, they swept my chimney and oil liner, repointed my chimney, replaced/repaired smoke shelf bricks, crown coated top of chimney, installed a cap, & water sealed. They also ground, repointed, and sealed my front brick steps. Dan was on time for initial consult, and both were here early on the scheduled work day. Dan’s beautiful golden retriever supervised quietly all day!
